Project Overview

AIDAbella is one of three Sphinx-class sisters that form the backbone of the AIDA Selection fleet — ships beloved for their intimate scale and loyal following. When she entered the Chantier Naval shipyard in Marseille in January 2026 for a seven-week AIDA Evolution refit, she became the third vessel in the programme, following AIDAdiva and AIDAluna through the same comprehensive transformation. The changes on the open decks are where BLOOM's contribution is most visible. A new Sky Deck now sits atop the superstructure — an exclusive retreat for suite guests, sheltered by a retractable glass canopy that floods the space with natural light while shielding from wind and spray. BLOOM furnished this area with handwoven sun loungers and cabanas, creating a serene elevated sanctuary high above the waterline. At the stern, the Lanai Bar has been reimagined as an open-air destination that seems to float above the ship's wake. Guests gather around BLOOM bar stools and standing tables as the horizon shifts from afternoon gold to twilight blue — one of the most atmospheric spots on board. Across the redesigned pool deck, BLOOM loungers and seating complete the outdoor experience. Every piece was specified for the demands of a Mediterranean and Northern European programme: marine-grade synthetic fibre, corrosion-resistant aluminium frames, and quick-drying upholstery that performs beautifully from the first embarkation in Palma de Mallorca to the last port of call in the Norwegian fjords.
